What is Throw a Coin?

Throw a Coin is an incremental simulator on Roblox built by the group The BEST group yet!. You stand at a magic fountain, throw a coin, and the fountain hands back a random item whose rarity is decided by your total Luck. You carry that item to the Sell shop, turn it into cash, and spend the cash on better coins and stat upgrades.

One Fountain, Every Drop

The entire loop runs through a single magic fountain — throw a coin, receive a random item, sell it, and reinvest. No combat, no timers, just rolls.

Four Stacking Luck Sources

Coin tier, Luck Multiplier, Index discoveries and the Perfect Throw timing bar all multiply together, which is why buy order matters more than raw cash.

Mutation Machine Merging

Feed duplicates into the machine to roll Big, Huge, Rainbow, Astral or Divine variants that sell for far more than the base item.

Index Passive Luck

Every new item you discover is recorded in the Index and adds permanent passive luck, so even low-tier farming keeps improving your odds.

The depth comes from how the systems multiply. Twenty coin tiers set your base luck, the Luck Multiplier and Item Value upgrades scale on top, the Index rewards you with passive luck for every new item discovered, and the Mutation Machine merges duplicates into Big, Huge, Rainbow, Astral and Divine variants worth far more at the shop. Beyond the base map, a Worlds portal opens later areas, with World 3 arriving on July 26, 2026.

All 20 purchasable coins from Basic Coin to Infinity Coin, each mapped to a rarity band that sets your base luck multiplier. Buying the next coin is the single biggest luck jump available at any point in the game.

Prices and multipliers past Volt Coin have never been published by the developer. Figures shown are community estimates from July 2026 and are marked as such.

Mutation Machine

View all

The Mutation Machine arrived in Update 3 on July 18, 2026 and sits at one end of the map next to the Worlds portal. It merges up to four copies of the same item into a mutated variant that sells for far more than the base version.

Stage 1

Big

The entry mutation and the first thing the Mutation Machine can produce. Big versions of an item look oversized on the pedestal and sell above the plain version.

Merge Input

4x plain copies of the same item

Sell Value

Sells above the plain item; the developer has not published the exact multiplier.

Stage 2

Huge

One step above Big. Huge is the first mutation most players see repeatedly once they can farm four duplicates of a mid-band item quickly.

Merge Input

4x copies of the same item at the previous stage improve the odds of this tier

Sell Value

Clearly above Big; exact figures are not published by the developer.

Stage 3

Rainbow

The visual jump most players chase first. Rainbow items shimmer through the full colour cycle and are the usual break-even point for merging instead of selling.

Merge Input

4x copies of the same item at the previous stage improve the odds of this tier

Sell Value

A large jump over Huge; exact figures are not published by the developer.

Stage 4

Astral

The second-rarest mutation. Astral drops are rare enough that most players only ever produce them from deliberately hoarded duplicate stacks.

Merge Input

4x copies of the same item at the previous stage improve the odds of this tier

Sell Value

Far above Rainbow; exact figures are not published by the developer.

Stage 5

Divine

The top mutation in the game. A Divine version of a high-rarity item is the single most valuable object a player can hold.

Merge Input

4x copies of the same item at the previous stage improve the odds of this tier

Sell Value

The highest sell price in the game; exact figures are not published by the developer.

The 24-Tier Rarity Ladder

View all

The 24-step rarity ladder that governs both coins and items, from Common through Galactic. Understanding where each band sits tells you exactly which coin you need before a target item can even roll.

Rarity order and item placement are cross-checked against two independent guide sources. Milky Way is described in the official Roblox game description as 1 in 20 quadrillion.

What Players Look Up Most

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any working Throw a Coin codes right now?+

The only code publicly listed by the developer is WORLD3, which appears in the official Roblox experience description alongside the World 3 update on July 26, 2026. The developer did not state its reward, and no other code was published between the May 6, 2026 launch and that update. New codes are announced in the experience description on update day, so this page is re-checked after every patch.

Which coin should I buy next?+

Always the next one you can afford. Each of the 20 coin tiers sets your base luck multiplier, and moving up a tier is a larger jump than any number of Luck Multiplier levels you could buy with the same cash. The starter block runs Basic, Copper, Fortune and Fire Coin at roughly 1x, 5x, 12x and 24x luck, and the endgame block ends at Infinity Coin.

How does luck stack in Throw a Coin?+

Four sources multiply together: the base luck of your equipped coin, the Luck Multiplier upgrade at the kiosk, the passive bonus from Index discoveries, and up to a 2.00x boost from landing a Perfect Throw on the timing bar. Because they multiply rather than add, the correct order is coin first, then Luck Multiplier, with Index growing on its own in the background.

What does the Mutation Machine do?+

Added in Update 3 on July 18, 2026, the Mutation Machine sits next to the Worlds portal and merges up to four copies of the same item into a mutated variant. The five mutation names are Big, Huge, Rainbow, Astral and Divine, and mutated items sell for far more than the base version. Feeding already-mutated copies back in raises the odds of a higher mutation tier.

What is the rarest item in Throw a Coin?+

Milky Way, the single Galactic-tier drop, at a stated 1 in 20 quadrillion chance. The tier below it is Omega, represented by the Dyson Sphere, which itself only becomes realistic with Infinity Coin plus heavy Luck stacking. Everything below that runs down through Supernova, Zenith, Solar and Beyond before reaching the more common bands.

When did World 3 release?+

World 3 launched on July 26, 2026 as part of the ADMIN ABUSE + WORLD 3 event, with the event window running to August 2, 2026 and the experience title carrying a 3x boost tag. The Worlds portal that leads to it sits at one end of the map beside the Mutation Machine. The developer did not publish an unlock cost at launch.

Is the Index worth filling?+

Yes — the Index is the only luck source that grows while you simply play. Every unique item you pull is recorded, and each new entry adds a permanent passive luck bonus on top of your coin and Luck Multiplier. Mutated versions of an item are tracked separately from the base entry, so mutation farming also feeds Index progress.

Should I use Auto Throw?+

Auto Throw at 100% keeps income flowing while you browse the shop or plan upgrades, and pairing it with Sell All means you never stop earning. The trade-off is that automated throws do not land manual Perfect Throws, so during focused luck pushes for a specific rare item, manual throwing with good timing is still better.

What is a Perfect Throw?+

When you tap the coin icon a timing meter appears; releasing it in the sweet spot grants a Perfect Throw worth up to a 2.00x luck boost on that individual toss. It is the only luck source that is free and repeatable, which makes it the cheapest way to push into a higher rarity band before you can afford the next coin.

When should I buy Item Value instead of Luck?+

Buy Luck first. Item Value raises the sale price of everything you sell and starts at roughly $600 per level, while Luck Multiplier starts at roughly $175 per level. Until your best drops are genuinely valuable, extra Luck earns more than extra Value. Once rarity feels comfortable, alternate Item Value levels with Luck Multiplier levels.
